The Maxi Dress

I was wearing a Maxi dress with a Denim Jacket and a friend commented on how she always loves the dresses I wear. She said she felt that she needed help in picking out dresses.

What she was really saying was " I need help as I don't trust my own judgement". Now I don't need an excuse to go shopping so offered to help.

The photo above was the ensemble I was wearing. Both dress and denim jacket are from Witchery and I bought both items for $210. That's right $210!

An added bonus about the dress is that it is a beautiful, lightweight silk/cotton blend with cotton lining so is easy to wear and care for. A must for busy people.

I paid $112.50 for a dress that retails for $150 and $97.50 for the denim jacket that retails for $130. Witchery was also running there boarding pass promotion which expires end of September. Boarding passes are worth $20 -$1000! Not to mention last week and for one week only they doubled your boarding pass voucher. This is such a perfect look for the weather at the moment. It is an easy style to put together. Change the dress, keep the jacket and alternate between metallic ballet flats and slides.

The shoes were last season Country Road gold gladiator sandals I paid $25 for on the 50% off extra sale. Let's face it, this trend is here to stay. Wittner and Betts do a great range at affordable prices. You'll be wearing these for many seasons to come and they are versatile enough to wear with jeans aswell. You will get your money's worth here. The cuff bracelet was from Forever New for $5 on sale and just had to have as it is very much Roberto Cavalli inspired.

Another maxi dress I think is beautiful and perfect for your wardrobe is the multi tiered flower maxi dress from Portmans. This dress retails for $129.95. Once again put back with the denim jacket and sandals.
