My Style

I love to wear dresses, especially maxi's in a print that is subtle or bold. I love a plain coloured dress if it is black, navy or red. I love frills, bows and pleats and even more so on dresses, strapless or one shouldered jumpsuits. I love them loose or structured but not too fitted. I love a flowy feminine dress with a denim jacket.


I love denim in jeans, jacket and dress. I appreciate a good skinny jean with a loose top, love the boot cut jean with a fitted top and can't go past the classic jean with an anything top. I do not wear denim cut off shorts and neither should you!

I love to wear jewelled slides and sandals in Spring and Summer and preferably in metallic gold, silver and bronze. I love to wear patent and velvet ballet flats in winter for texture and wedge style boots for comfort. But my all time favourite and flattering shoe for me is the Spanish espardrille. They look especially beautiful when wearing skirts and dresses.

I love a great blazer, whether it is a boyfriend style, a wrap suede jacket, cropped cream or a sequin number. I like to keep it simple with a plain tee underneath and accessorise to maximum benefit. I love these in navy's, blacks, greys and creams. If it is not structered it will be a loose cardigan style jacket. Comfort is of utmost importance for me.

I prefer natural fibres over synthetic. My favourite fabric is a silk/cotton blend in Spring/Summer (so versatile and easy to care for). And wools with cotton blends for winter (once again easy to care for). And I can't go past a silk/cashmere blend either.

I love old with new and simple monotones. I love a beautiful animal print pattern whether it is on dresses, shoes or bags. And I especially love to mix textures and colours to create depth. This week my favourite colour will be Red and next week maybe lilac. I am fickle with colour but loyal with bags. I love baby pink but cannot wear it. Coral, natural and neutral tones on the other hand, I was born to wear.

I love flowers in the hair or on shoes and statement making earrings. I love the cuff on both wrists look, a la Chanel and love necklaces mixed with pearls and semi-precious stones and vintage swarovski rhinestone.

I buy pieces that will stand the test of time, regardless of how much I paid for it. I love a bargain as much as the next person and want to shout it out to the world. I want value for my money!

I love items that stand out but not because it is flouro green, but because it says this is who I am and I wear this piece not the other way round. I love accessories that are bold and complimentary. I love wearing my hand made feather collars and capes with jeans or dresses. I love anything lace.

I love detail in garments even if it is only me who knows about it. I appreciate it. Most importantly I love the process and the discovery of something new about fashion and about me. I love to have fun with it.
